Marin grew up in Zagreb, Croatia, where an early affinity for the outdoors shaped much of his life. Whether hiking in the nearby mountains or cycling through the city’s neighborhoods, he gravitated toward movement and open space. Sports came naturally, and rowing became his focus for more than a decade. The sport demanded discipline, resilience and teamwork—qualities that continue to define him.

Around the same time, he discovered mountain biking, a pursuit that offered both freedom and a new connection to the landscape. That interest eventually grew into a career. At 22, Marin transitioned from competitive rowing to working in the cycling industry, handling bike sales, servicing and demo events. It was a way to stay embedded in the cycling world while helping others find their way into it.

Nature has always been central to Marin’s lifestyle. Weekend hikes were a family ritual, and exploring wild places became second nature. He’s continued that tradition into adulthood, maintaining a close connection to the outdoors while expanding his travels to new places.

Today, Marin is both a father and an explorer. His approach is thoughtful and curious, rooted in experience and a deep respect for the natural world—qualities he brings to every trail, trip and conversation.
