At age 7, Adam tracked Africa’s Big Five on foot with his father in Zimbabwe—an experience that sparked a lifelong passion for the natural world. His early years were spent camping in the uKhahlamba Mountains of South Africa and exploring the wild coastline south of Mozambique.

Adam earned his professional safari guide qualification in 2012, allowing him to live full time in the wilderness. He has guided in renowned wildlife regions including the Sabi Sands in South Africa, Odzala in the Congo and South Luangwa, Kafue and Lower Zambezi in Zambia. Adam remains active in conservation across Africa, assisting with aerial surveys, wildlife monitoring and field research. A career highlight was spending eight months rehabilitating and releasing the first Temminck’s ground pangolins into Zululand after 70 years of local extinction.

Adam went on to become a specialist walking, canoeing and photographic guide in Zambia, where he lived for four years inside national parks. He became a Nat Hab Photo Expedition Leader in 2025, merging his conservation background and guiding expertise with a love of photography that helps guests connect deeply to wild spaces.

Adam has guided film crews from BBC, Silverback, Plimsoll, Netflix and National Geographic, bringing a cinematic perspective to his photo expeditions. His fun, adventurous and caring nature is felt around the campfire—whether he’s sharing stories from years in the wild or creating new memories with those who travel alongside him.
