Pedro was born in Lisbon, where his connection to Portugal’s landscapes and culture began early and shaped a lifelong interest in sharing the country’s natural and cultural heritage.
Since 1990, Pedro has worked as a professional guide, with deep experience across Portugal, particularly in the North and Central regions. He has an enduring connection to the Douro River Valley, where dramatic landscapes, terraced vineyards and river life come together and where he enjoys introducing travelers to the region’s history, geography and traditions.
Pedro’s approach to guiding is grounded in a strong respect for nature. Whether leading hikes along ancient trails or paddling along serene waterways, he is a firm believer in conservation and the responsibility we hold toward protecting Portugal’s unique ecosystems. He encourages thoughtful, responsible travel while helping travelers develop a deeper understanding of the places they visit.
He also has a strong interest in Portuguese cuisine and culture, viewing gastronomy as a vital window into the soul of the country. He enjoys sharing local food traditions and regional specialties to bring deeper context and meaning to each experience.
Pedro lives in the coastal town of Cascais. Outside of guiding, he enjoys hiking, kayaking and restoring classic cars, reflecting his appreciation for craftsmanship and history.
