Rita Merlini2026
Rita was born and raised in Tuscany and has lived in Liguria for more than 20 years in a seaside town between Portofino and the Cinque Terre. Living between these two regions has shaped her deep appreciation for Italy’s landscapes, culture and traditions.
Rita earned a degree in economics from the University of Pisa. After graduating, she spent a year in Boston studying English at a private school and completing an internship with a local company. When she returned to Italy, she began working at a travel agency before becoming a licensed tour leader and hiking guide.
Rita has guided groups throughout Italy and abroad, sharing her knowledge of the country’s history, culture and regional traditions. She especially enjoys introducing travelers to the diversity of Italy’s landscapes and communities, from Piedmont and Tuscany to the Amalfi Coast and Sicily.
Travel and the outdoors have always been central to Rita’s life. She enjoys hiking, photography and spending time outside with friends. Warm, energetic and deeply connected to the places she guides, she takes pride in helping travelers experience Italy from a local perspective, including its culture, food, wine and everyday life.
