Our Story

Luis Andrade2026

Born and raised in the Galapagos Islands, Luis developed a close connection with nature from an early age. Growing up surrounded by the archipelago’s unique wildlife and landscapes fostered a deep appreciation for the ecosystems that define the islands and inspired his commitment to their conservation.

These early experiences sparked Luis’ interest in the natural sciences and a desire to better understand the ecosystems around him. After graduating from high school, he traveled abroad to study agriculture at a boarding university. His studies provided a strong foundation in biology and helped him understand the important role natural systems play in everyday life.

After completing his studies, Luis returned to the Galapagos and chose to become a naturalist guide, allowing him to explore the islands where he grew up while sharing their remarkable biodiversity with travelers from around the world. Whether guiding on land or at sea, he connects geology, human history and Charles Darwin’s work in the Galapagos with engaging storytelling and environmental interpretation.

Inspired by the place he calls home, Luis has also developed skills in wildlife photography, videography and public speaking. These tools allow him to share the islands’ natural history in different ways while helping visitors form a deeper understanding of the Galapagos and the importance of protecting its fragile ecosystems.
