Rachel grew up in Kansas, where she enjoyed a mix of city life and outdoor adventure, never short on incredible sunsets. When she wasn’t traveling the U.S. for cheer competitions, she was camping and hiking by her father’s side, working on her drum skills or exploring the Caribbean with her mom. She was lucky to start her international travels at age 16 and could feel the travel bug taking over, but she was still searching for the right path. Rachel graduated from Wichita State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and psychology. Although these were great interests of hers, Rachel finally decided to let her love of travel take the driver’s seat after college. She followed an opportunity to join a family-owned travel agency in town and became a certified travel associate, helping fellow adventurers curate the perfect getaway, from solo explorations to destination weddings.
She enjoyed her work, but the mountains had been calling her name for many years. In 2022, Rachel took the leap and moved to Colorado, where she found her growing passions for the outdoors and responsible tourism aligned perfectly with Nat Hab. Rachel has traveled in Europe, Central America, the Caribbean and North America (so far), and she strives to combine her personal travel experience and industry knowledge to help others realize the beauty and education of travel while fostering connections with communities around the world.
When she’s not reminiscing about snorkeling with sharks in the Bahamas or rappelling down canyons in Costa Rica, you can find Rachel discovering new hiking trails, caring for her houseplants and garden, baking sweet treats or dreaming up her next big adventure.
