Theresa MuczynskiAdventure Payables Specialist
Theresa grew up in Michigan in a large, active family. Her childhood was spent biking rural roads, climbing trees, sledding and skating in winter, and making snow angels under the northern sky. She and her husband were married atop the historic Fort Gratiot Lighthouse, and she’s now on a mission to visit all 129 lighthouses across her home state—the most of any in the U.S.
While raising two daughters, Theresa worked for a small family business before earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Walsh College. She later moved to Crestwood, Kentucky, where she continued her career in accounting with nonprofit and logistics organizations before joining Natural Habitat Adventures in 2023. She values how travel sparks storytelling and how accounting tells the story of a business’s past, present and future.
In 2023, Theresa experienced the Polar Bear Capital of the World on Nat Hab’s Tundra Lodge Adventure, where she came within 10 feet of wild polar bears and Arctic foxes. In 2025, she joined Nat Hab's Southern African Odyssey, traveling through South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia. Her time in the bush was filled with vivid encounters—elephants swimming beside the boat, cheetahs at sunset and a lioness calling to her pride in the early morning mist. Experiencing the region’s vibrant landscapes and wildlife firsthand gave her a richer understanding of Nat Hab’s conservation-driven adventures and the profound impact they have on travelers and local communities alike.
Outside of work, Theresa enjoys biking, nature walks and spending time with her daughters.
