Mia was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, where time spent outdoors shaped her early connection to nature. Encouraged by parents and grandparents who loved mountain biking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, hiking and camping, she developed an appreciation for wild places at a young age. Family travel also played an important role in her upbringing, fostering a lifelong curiosity about different cultures and how people connect with the natural world.
Mia graduated from California Polytechnic State University in June 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science, with a concentration in animal science and a minor in agricultural education. During her studies, she developed a strong interest in sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship, particularly in educating younger generations to care for the planet.
Professionally, Mia is motivated to share her knowledge of animals, agriculture, and nature with others. Her academic and hands-on experiences strengthened her ability to communicate complex topics in an approachable way, reinforcing her passion for education and conservation-focused work.
Mia’s travels have included extensive exploration within the United States, with favorite destinations ranging from Yosemite National Park to the Central Coast of California and Maui. Internationally, she spent a summer traveling through France, Italy and Spain, where immersing herself in local food, culture and daily life deepened her appreciation for global perspectives.
In her free time, Mia enjoys horseback riding, hiking and camping, often relaxing outdoors with a good book and music. She is especially drawn to the ocean and values time in nature as a reminder of the broader world we share.
