Growing up in Kansas and Iowa, Kendal spent as much time outdoors as she could—playing with the neighborhood kids until the streetlights came on and eagerly awaiting each new soccer season, convinced she might one day become the next Brandi Chastain. Family road trips to California and Texas sparked a lifelong curiosity about the world and a love of exploring new places. Those early adventures eventually grew into a passion for wildlife, photography and conservation travel, leading her to study graphic design and mass communication at the University of Iowa before making her way west to Colorado.

Today, Kendal combines her love of travel, photography and storytelling to help inspire others to explore and protect the natural world. As Senior Marketing Manager at Natural Habitat Adventures and brand manager for Earthwatch Expeditions, she helps bring conservation stories to life through compelling digital experiences, creative storytelling and films that inspire people to get outside and explore. She's driven by the belief that powerful stories can foster a deeper connection to nature—and inspire people to protect it.

Some of Kendal's favorite moments are spent outside—filming wildlife, photographing dramatic landscapes, and immersing herself in the remarkable places that make Nat Hab's journeys so extraordinary. From Yellowstone's bison country to the Galápagos Islands, Greenland's fjords and beyond, she's continually reminded that travel has the power to transform not only how we see the world, but also how we choose to care for it.

When she's not planning her next adventure, you'll likely find her hiking a mountain trail, riding her gravel bike, camping beneath the stars, or kayaking a quiet lake. She also loves wandering through art museums, discovering local galleries, and experiencing live music whenever she travels, believing that a destination's culture is just as memorable as its landscapes and wildlife.
