Our Story
Lesa BainVice President - Travel Industry Sales & Relations
Born in Australia—with the accent to prove it—Lesa grew up in a small town wondering what lay beyond the next green hill. That curiosity eventually carried her to four continents for work and all seven through travel.
Lesa began her career in advertising in Australia before moving to South Korea, where she worked in communications on accounts ranging from aviation to food and automotive brands. She credits her Korean colleagues and mentors, many of them leading voices in Asian public relations, with shaping her approach to communication, collaboration and leadership.
A chance meeting with her future husband, a U.S. Marine in dress blues, led to a life spread across Japan, Washington, D.C., San Diego, Kansas and Australia. Along the way, Lesa moved from advertising into adventure travel and discovered a lasting passion for expedition cruising. That career shift allowed her to combine storytelling, exploration and a deep interest in how travel can connect people with place.
Lesa has now visited all seven continents, though she is quick to point out that the list only scratches the surface. Her recent travels have included Namibia, Botswana, Tanzania and South Africa, along with Churchill, Manitoba, Polar Bear Capital of the World.
Today, Lesa draws on her background in communications, expedition travel and global exploration to help shape thoughtful land-based journeys. She is especially energized by travel that brings people closer to wildlife, culture and conservation.
