Aimee GunnSenior Adventure Director — USNP & Mexico
Born in West Palm Beach, Florida, Aimee spent her formative years exploring the beaches, swamps and oceans of the Sunshine State. As a grade school student in an environmental science and field studies academy, she discovered a passion for nature while learning about ecology and conservation.
Aimee earned her bachelor's degree in Natural Resource Conservation from the University of Florida and is currently pursuing a graduate certificate in Outdoor Recreation Industry Leadership (ORIL) from the University of Denver. With nearly two decades of experience in the travel and outdoor adventure industry, she has designed, managed and supported operations in 22 countries and 12 states. Her expertise includes people management, trip design and fostering local community relations.
Having cultivated deep and meaningful connections within communities over her decade of working in the South Pacific, Aimee believes such relationships are vital to promoting sustainability. She is passionate about creating experiences for individuals to safely step outside their comfort zones and immerse themselves in the wonders of the natural world.
In her free time, Aimee enjoys backpacking to alpine lakes, hiking along mountain ridgelines, longboard surfing, snowboarding and camping. She has traveled to every continent, visited 40 countries, 49 U.S. states and explored 40 National Parks within the United States. She can often be found fly fishing, competing on the pickleball court, wandering through farmers markets or chasing sunshine in the backcountry. She currently lives in Westminster, Colorado.
