Surveying Wildlife in the Upper Amazon

Tula Fang, M.S. Logistics Coordinator, AmazonEco

Tula Fang, MSc, has supported field research in the Peruvian Amazon with Earthwatch since 2006. Born in Iquitos and raised in the Amazon, she studied biology locally before earning her master’s degree from the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology at the University of Kent. She began her research career studying primates in the Tamshiyacu-Tahuayo Community Reserve and now serves as logistics coordinator with AmazonEco, a conservation organization that works with local communities to protect wildlife and manage natural resources in the Amazon. In this role, she helps coordinate field operations and supports ongoing research in the region.
