Meet the Scientists
This project is led by two scientists from Winnipeg’s Assiniboine Park Conservancy whose research explores how Arctic wildlife responds to environmental change. One studies the behavior and travel habits of harbor seals in western Hudson Bay, while the other investigates polar bear genetics, denning habitats and beluga populations. Together, their work offers complementary perspectives on how Arctic species navigate the challenges of their changing habitats—and how understanding wildlife can help guide conservation efforts in a rapidly warming region.
