Janaye grew up in rainy Seattle and spent summers in Maui with her six siblings and adventurous parents. Her love for nature blossomed during these childhood trips, where endless ocean play sparked her curiosity and passion for exploration.

Janaye’s outdoor adventures began in earnest in 2014 after moving to San Diego. She fell in love with the outdoors, exploring California’s stunning landscapes, the Southwest’s national parks, and the Pacific Northwest. Her world opened internationally in 2016 with a life-changing semester at sea, sailing to Europe, Africa, and the Americas. This transformative experience ignited a love for immersive travel, marking the beginning of her journey as a global explorer. After graduating with a degree in Society, Nonprofit Leadership, and International Business, Janaye launched her career with the goal of finding meaningful work that blends purpose with impact.

With years of conservation nonprofit experience, she believes seeing the world firsthand fosters a natural desire to protect it. Janaye is thrilled to help fellow travelers explore the planet in impactful ways, inspiring love and care for its people, wildlife, and wild places. She has visited 28 countries including a backpacking trip through Southeast Asia.
