Adriana Aurora Vazquez Cuaxiloa
Adriana, a resident of Chile’s Atacama Desert for more than a decade, grew up in the sprawling expanse of Mexico City. Trading in big city life for the serenity of the high desert, Adriana has led travel groups in Bolivia, Argentina, and Chile including: ornithologists and botanists across Chile’s arid Altiplánico, trekking expeditions in northwest Argentina, and cultural tours through Bolivia. With vast local knowledge and an intimate appreciation for the driest desert on earth, Adriana is a consummate guide to the high Andes region. “This area is very special to me because the landscapes are still untouched,” she says.
