Nat Hab's Electric Vehicle in Tanzania
In 2025, Natural Habitat Adventures took another step toward a lower-carbon future with the launch of a new electric safari vehicle based in Arusha, Tanzania. This converted Land Cruiser, which seats seven guests, is primarily used for airport transfers, allowing us to reduce emissions from the very beginning of each journey. Integrating cleaner transportation into our East Africa operations reflects Nat Hab's commitment to lower-impact travel in wildlife-rich regions. A quieter ride gives travelers a more intimate experience of the landscape, with its rustling acacia trees and melodious bird calls, without the vibration or fumes of a diesel engine. This addition is part of Nat Hab’s broader effort to reduce our carbon footprint and advance sustainable travel through practical, measurable changes. Each vehicle introduced under this initiative helps us cut carbon emissions, reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, and support a future in which exploration contributes to conservation rather than compromises it.
