Built in 2027, Nat Hab's Casitas at Arenal features six casitas tucked within lush rainforest—the only lodge within Arenal National Park. Each treehouse-like casita has a vaulted ceiling and private deck with unobstructed views of Arenal Volcano and the surrounding forest canopy, where toucans and hummingbirds provide the morning soundtrack and monkeys are frequent visitors.

The spacious casitas have seating areas that face floor-to-ceiling windows with volcano views, sofa beds, minibars, Wi-Fi, either king or XL twin beds and en suite bathrooms with double sinks. The casitas incorporate low-consumption toilets, LED lighting and solar-powered pathway lights. Cross-ventilation and overhead fans cool interiors without air conditioning, while elevated steel-beam platforms minimize disturbance to the terrain and allow air to circulate beneath the structures. Windows are fitted with discreet visual deterrents that break up reflections to help birds avoid collisions with the glass.

The communal dining lounge is in a renovated villa just steps from the casitas along a garden path. Expansive picture windows frame Arenal Volcano while a private chef prepares upscale Costa Rican meals. Vaulted ceilings with timber beams, black river-rock columns and a fireplace define the gathering space.
