Physical Requirements
At Nat Hab, we provide access to some of the most wondrous nature encounters the world has to offer. Many take place in destinations that are wild and remote, with varying physical demands and limited medical facilities. All trips may not be suitable for every traveler. In order to participate in this itinerary, travelers must comfortably and reliably be able to execute all physical requirements as noted below.

One charter flight and one scheduled flight
Travelers must be able to hike approximately 3 miles unassisted along a variety of sometimes challenging terrain and should expect to walk a total of 2-6 miles per day
Hikes range from 1-3 miles each; travelers should expect 2-5 hours of physical activity daily
Most hikes are at a leisurely pace with guided interpretation
Terrain includes pavement, boardwalks, rough lava, glacial ice and earthen trails that can be muddy, slippery, rocky and hilly
For hikes longer than 3 miles, shorter alternatives may be available; longer hikes may be offered for more active travelers at some locations
Travel by minibus, 4x4 vehicle, boat and plane
Transport is mostly on paved roads, with some well-maintained dirt roads and sometimes rough off-road terrain
Not appropriate for travelers using wheelchairs, walkers or canes
Travelers must have good balance, mobility, and be in good physical health
Due to the diminutive stature of the local horses, the maximum rider weight each horse can carry is 250 pounds and an alternative activity will be provided for those who are unable to ride
Temps range from 30–70°F and can vary greatly day to day
