Travelers must be able to walk up to 3 miles over the course of a day on uneven surfaces. Walks are generally unhurried and broken into manageable segments, with frequent stops and vehicle support when needed
The longest individual walk is 2 miles, sometimes along village paths, temple grounds, or rural trails that can be wet or slippery
Travelers must be able to walk up and down stairs
Terrain includes gravel, pavement, boardwalk, stone, dirt and uneven ground
Transportation is by minibus, sometimes on rough dirt roads
One internal, scheduled flight between Hanoi an Hue is required
Not appropriate for travelers using wheelchairs or walkers
Travelers using canes must be physically independent or travel with a companion who can assist them
Some accommodations are located in remote areas without medical facilities
Daytime temps range from 60–95°F, depending on season and location
Overnight temps range from 55-75°F, depending on season and location
