Terra & Tu Cultural Journeys was founded on a simple belief: travel is most powerful when it invites us to understand how others live, what they value, and the traditions that shape everyday life.

Founder Finlay Bressler grew up steeped in the ethos of experiential travel. His father, Ben Bressler, founded Natural Habitat Adventures, where small-group journeys centered on conservation of wild places and wildlife. Finlay, however, found himself drawn not only to the natural world, but to people and culture.

Later, while working in the mental health field, he became fascinated by how many modern movements—from mindfulness to a renewed interest in traditional local cuisine—draw on longstanding cultural practices. That curiosity led to a defining question: What would travel look like if it were designed not around highlights and checklists, but around cultural insight, shared experience, and meaningful time with local communities?

Terra & Tu grew from that question. Our journeys focus on living culture and local traditions, experienced directly through genuine engagement rather than staged performance.

In 2025, Natural Habitat Adventures partnered with Terra & Tu to launch a new collection of cultural journeys. Built on decades of operational expertise and a trusted small-group model, Terra & Tu brings the same thoughtful design and high standards into the cultural realm—grounded in the belief that how we travel matters as much as where we go.
