Physical Requirements
At Terra & Tu, we provide access to some of the most wondrous nature and cultural encounters the world has to offer. Many take place in destinations that are wild and remote, with varying physical demands and limited medical facilities. All trips may not be suitable for every traveler. In order to participate in this itinerary, travelers must comfortably and reliably be able to execute all physical requirements as noted below.

Some early mornings and some late evenings are scheduled to allow for the best experiences (hot air balloon viewing, prime visitation hours for more popular sites)
Travelers must be able to walk at least 2 miles unassisted over uneven terrain
The longest walk is 2 miles one-way along potentially uneven, slippery trails in Cappadocia
Travelers must be able to walk up and down stairs
Terrain includes gravel, pavement, wooden walkways, dirt and uneven ground
Transportation takes place in sprinter vans, high-speed trains and small planes
Travelers must climb in and out of vehicles using balance and upper body strength
Not appropriate for travelers using wheelchairs or walkers
Travelers using canes must be physically independent or travel with a companion who can assist them
Daytime temperatures generally range from 60–95°F, depending on season and location
Istanbul and the Aegean coast are typically milder in spring and fall, while central Anatolia and Cappadocia can be cooler, especially in the mornings and evenings
Overnight temperatures in Cappadocia may drop into the 40s°F during April, May and October
The highest elevations on this journey are in Cappadocia and along the Anatolian plateau, reaching approximately 4,000–4,500 feet above sea level
