WEBINAR | Newfoundland’s Gros Morne National Park
Journey to Gros Morne National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site along Newfoundland’s rugged west coast. This is an extraordinary landscape of vertiginous cliffs, icy fjords, sandy beaches, boreal forests and the Tablelands, where you can stand on the Earth’s exposed mantle. Expedition Leader Anthony Mallinson describes the park’s unique geology (it was here that the theory of plate tectonics was confirmed!) and details some of the wildlife we hope to see on our new Puffins, Whales & Wildlife of Newfoundland & Labrador adventure, including moose, caribou, black bear, and Arctic and red fox.
