Physical Requirements
At Nat Hab, we provide access to some of the most wondrous nature encounters the world has to offer. Many take place in destinations that are wild and remote, with varying physical demands and limited medical facilities. All trips may not be suitable for every traveler. In order to participate in this itinerary, travelers must comfortably and reliably be able to execute all physical requirements as noted below.

Trip Pace
Visit four locations over seven days
Early mornings and late nights are scheduled to allow maximum time for wildlife viewing and exploration
Optional hikes and snowshoe excursions require moderate exertion over 1–3 miles on level ground, boardwalks, or slight inclines, with possible snow and ice
Exploring Yellowstone’s geothermal basins requires walking 0.5–1 mile over snow- and ice-covered boardwalks, dirt trails, and pavement
Some days include more than one scheduled hike
Travelers must be physically independent and able to maintain balance to participate in planned activities
Travel by van and Snowcoach
Frequent vehicle entry and exit based on scenery and wildlife
Not appropriate for travelers using wheelchairs, walkers or canes
Daytime temps range from 0–20°F; lower elevations may reach 30's
Overnight temps often drop below freezing
Heavy snowfall common, especially at higher elevations; conditions can be harsh and unpredictable
Elevation ranges from 4,800 to 8,400 feet
