Physical Requirements
At Nat Hab, we provide access to some of the most wondrous nature encounters the world has to offer. Many take place in destinations that are wild and remote, with varying physical demands and limited medical facilities. All trips may not be suitable for every traveler. In order to participate in this itinerary, travelers must comfortably and reliably be able to execute all physical requirements as noted below.

Visit four locations over 10 days
Fast-paced in Machu Picchu with full days of activities on your feet; more relaxed pace sailing in the Amazon with 2-3 off-ship excursions per day
Early Mornings
Travelers must be able to walk at least 2 miles for 2–3 hours on uneven ground at high elevation in Machu Picchu
Travelers must also be able to walk in high humidity in the Amazon
Travelers must be able to climb stairs
Four commercial flights
Travel by van and charter bus on bumpy, winding roads
Train and local bus with steep switchbacks to and from Machu Picchu
Skiffs for excursions
Not appropriate for travelers using wheelchairs or walkers
Travelers must be able to walk up and down stairs
Machu Picchu: daytime temps range from 60–80°F
Amazon: high humidity with temps in the 80s–90s°F
Rain possible year-round, especially in January and February
May–Oct: dry season; warmer in Machu Picchu, low water in Amazon
Nov–April: wet season; cooler in Machu Picchu, high water in Amazon
Machu Picchu portion operates at 8,000 to 12,000 feet
