Camden Formby-LavertuOperations Coordinator
Camden grew up in a small town in New Hampshire, where her parents fostered an appreciation for the outdoors from an early age. Summers were spent hiking in the White Mountains, camping along the Pemigewasset River and helping newly hatched turtles safely cross local roads. These experiences instilled a lasting connection to wildlife, conservation and the natural world.
In high school, she embarked on a trip to Italy that changed the trajectory of her life. Not only was she savoring margherita pizza, but she was also experiencing a different culture in a way she never had before. She knew from that moment that travel would become an important part of who she was. That realization led her to trek in Peru, visit a friend in Germany and eventually pursue a degree in International Studies at Elon University, where she studied abroad in India and Costa Rica.
After graduation, Camden continued exploring the world while building a career in travel. She spent time living in South Africa before relocating to Boston, where she worked for a travel company. During this period, her interest in sustainability grew alongside her appreciation for the connections between travel, conservation and local communities. Eventually, that path led her to Colorado, where she embraced the landscapes of the American West through hiking, backpacking and trail running.
Today, Camden combines her passion for travel with a commitment to protecting the places that make meaningful travel possible. Her experiences living abroad and exploring diverse cultures have reinforced the importance of conservation and responsible stewardship of natural resources.
In her free time, she enjoys baking, spending time outdoors with friends, exploring Colorado's trails and planning her next adventure.
