A passionate and adventurous wildlife biologist, Eric was born in Mexico City and grew up in Morelia. Living just a few hours from the coast, Eric heard the ocean’s call when he was a child, and he found a strong affinity with the sea and its creatures. It prompted him to move to La Paz for university, where he studied marine biology. Evolution, animal behavior, ecology and genetics were the subjects that attracted his attention most, drawing him to spend two years working in a genetics lab evaluating fish populations. Eventually, however, Eric preferred to spend his time in nature, rather than in a lab environment, and becoming a naturalist guide turned out to be the vocation he was looking for. His primary life goal is combining science with tourism to share knowledge through experiences in nature. He has led a variety of adventures, taking guests on camping trips, snorkeling excursions, hikes and other adventures. As a guide for Nat Hab, he shares the wonders of Mexico's monarch butterfly migration. When he isn’t guiding nature expeditions, Eric enjoys hiking with his friends and family, reading about nature, cooking, and traveling with his girlfriend.
