Physical Requirements
At Terra & Tu, we provide access to some of the most wondrous nature and cultural encounters the world has to offer. Many take place in destinations that are wild and remote, with varying physical demands and limited medical facilities. All trips may not be suitable for every traveler. In order to participate in this itinerary, travelers must comfortably and reliably be able to execute all physical requirements as noted below.

Travelers must be able to walk 1 mile unassisted and should expect to walk a total of 1-3 miles per day
Walks range from 1-3 miles each; travelers should expect 1-4 hours of physical activity on several days
Most walks are at a leisurely pace with frequent breaks for narration
Terrain includes dirt and stone paths, sometimes on uneven ground
For walks longer than 1 mile, shorter alternatives may be available and all walks are optional
This adventure includes one optional half-day of flatwater river kayaking of approximately 3 to 4 hours with breaks (2026 only)
Travel by sprinter van
Transport is mostly on paved, sometimes winding, roads and well-maintained dirt roads
Not appropriate for travelers using wheelchairs or walkers
Alternate transportation can be provided to guests who wish to skip longer walks
Daytime temps range from the mid 60s °F in May to high 70s in September
Overnight temps are cooler but generally mild
Rain is possible throughout the year. Showers are to be expected on early spring and autumn departures
Elevation ranges from 340-4100 feet
