African Safaris
Everyone knows that most domesticated dogs can’t resist the thrill of chasing a cat. It turns out that Africa’s wild dogs aren’t immune to the joys of cat chasing either, as wildlife photographer Dana Allen recently found out on a safari drive in Botswana’s Okavango Delta.
Conservation
The world’s tigers face considerable threats today: poaching, habitat loss, depletion of their prey and retaliatory kills by humans when the big cats take livestock. But now, a new threat has surfaced: the canine distemper virus (CDV).
African Safaris
The African wild dog is one seriously social animal. Like its North American cousin, the gray wolf, a wild dog’s life revolves around the complex social hierarchy of the pack. But unlike wolves, African wild dogs exhibit what almost seems like altruistic behavior when it comes to their pack mates.
Travel Tales

Nature Photography
Last month’s post “Botswana’s Green Season vs. Dry Season: When to Go?” was so popular, we wanted to show you what the “green season” looks like with some spectacular Botswana photos.
