Physical Requirements
At Nat Hab, we provide access to some of the most wondrous nature encounters the world has to offer. Many take place in destinations that are wild and remote, with varying physical demands and limited medical facilities. All trips may not be suitable for every traveler. In order to participate in this itinerary, travelers must comfortably and reliably be able to execute all physical requirements as noted below.

Visit 3 locations over 10-11 days, depending on the itinerary
Snow leopard sightings are typically at great distances (1–2 miles) and may require long periods of waiting
Patience and a tolerant attitude are essential
Travelers must be able to walk 2 miles unassisted over uneven, rocky or icy terrain at extremely high altitudes
Trip includes 2 commercial flights; travelers must independently manage themselves and their luggage through busy airports, including climbing stairs to access planes and terminals
Travel on winding mountain roads with some unpaved, bumpy sections and sheer drop-offs
Small vehicles are used for safety, as buses are not suitable for this terrain
Not appropriate for travelers using wheelchairs, walkers or canes
Travelers must be fully mobile and physically independent
While in Rumbak Valley, the closest medical facility is an hour away, and access to medical care may be delayed in an emergency
In some locations, only squat toilets are available, which requires good balance and lower-body strength
Highly isolated trip with no cell service or internet access
Daytime temps average 23 to 40°F
Overnight temps often drop to 5 to -4°F
Winter in the Himalayas is extremely cold with potential for heavy snowfall and unpredictable weather
Outdoor activities may adjust due to weather conditions but are rarely canceled
12,000–14,000+ feet elevation from Days 2–10/11; most travelers are physically impacted
Majority of trip is spent sleeping at 13,000 feet in Rumbak Valley
