Location of Adventure
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Group Size Limit
Approximately 8 Travelers
A very important feature of this extension is the limited group size, as nature excursions are best experienced with a small group of travelers.
Specialized 4x4 Land Rovers and Land Cruisers
Our Private Leaders
Three nights in a marina-side hotel, transfers, three whale-watching excursions, one dinner, three breakfasts and two lunches, some gratuities, use of special equipment (hydrophone, life jackets, etc.).
Airfare between Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta and your home city, meals except for one dinner, three breakfasts and two lunches, personal expenses (phone, alcohol, etc.) and some gratuities.
This extension does not require a high degree of physical fitness. In order to participate, travelers should be able to walk at least a half mile unassisted over sidewalks, pavement and boat docks, in potentially slippery conditions, and must be able to step in and out of boats for the whale watching excursions. Travelers should be aware that the heat and humidity may be very high and sea conditions for whale watching outings may be choppy and windy.
Important Information About This Trip
Please see your Pre-departure Briefing for more details.
Since the areas we travel to on this trip are remote and wild (that's why we go there!), we require medical evacuation insurance for our guests' safety. If you decline the medical evacuation insurance coverage offered by Natural Habitat, we request that you send us documentation of the independent coverage you have selected. We will add the cost of a medical evacuation policy to your tour invoice until you provide our office with proof of coverage, including your insurance company's name, contact number and your individual policy number. Thank you for understanding that our policy exists exclusively in the interest of our guests' safety.
Getting There & Getting Home
These excursions are scheduled to coincide with a few of our Monarch Butterfly departures and run either pre or post tour, depending upon your specific departure. Arrive in time for a 7 pm welcome dinner on Day 1 of the extension itinerary. If your extension occurs before your Monarch Butterfly tour, you will need to depart Puerto Vallarta on the final day to arrive in Mexico City in time for your 7 pm welcome dinner. If your extension occurs after your Monarch Butterfly tour, you will be free to depart any time on the final day of the itinerary. We can best serve you if our Natural Habitat Adventures Travel Desk makes your reservations, as our staff is intimately familiar with the special requirements of this program and can arrange the most efficient travel. Please call us at 1-800-543-8917. Note that while we offer you the best possible rates available to us on airfare and additional nights' accommodations, you may find special web rates or better fares online.
