Rodrigo Soromenho
Rodrigo was born in Lisbon and grew up between the city and the coastal landscapes of Cascais, where the rhythm of the ocean and open horizon shaped his early experiences. Surrounded by sea, trails and open space, he developed a strong connection to the outdoors that soon became a lasting pursuit.
He later moved to Coimbra to study civil engineering, with an interest in preserving Portugal’s architectural heritage and supporting more sustainable approaches to development. During this time, alongside his father, Rodrigo spent years scouting trails in regions such as the Douro Valley and Serra da Estrela.
What began as personal exploration developed into hands-on guiding experience. Since 2023, Rodrigo has guided travelers across Portugal, from coastal areas to inland mountain regions. He shares insight into the country’s history, culture and regional traditions, encouraging thoughtful travel and helping guests better understand the places they visit.
Whether walking along coastal cliffs, exploring mountain trails or sharing stories shaped by the land, Rodrigo continues to follow the same curiosity that first drew him outdoors. He brings together his academic background, guiding experience and passion for Portugal’s natural and cultural heritage to create meaningful connections for travelers.
When he is not guiding, Rodrigo enjoys hiking, staying active and continuing to explore the country.
