Late spring through early fall is a fantastic time to visit Croatia and Slovenia because the weather is warm and ideal for outdoor activities like hiking, swimming and sightseeing. The long, sunny days allow you to fully explore these countries' beautiful coastlines, landscapes and historic towns.

Croatia and Slovenia experience a mix of Mediterranean and continental climates. Along the Adriatic coast, the Mediterranean climate features warm, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Inland areas have a continental climate with hot summers and cold winters. Summer temperatures can reach up to 86°F.

Pack lightweight, breathable clothing for warm days and layers like a light jacket or fleece for cooler evenings and higher altitudes. Bring comfortable hiking boots or trail shoes, swimwear for coastal and lakeside visits, and sun protection such as sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. Slovenia’s traditional dishes often showcase the country’s agricultural heritage with locally sourced grains, dairy products and seasonal vegetables. Internet access is typically available at our accommodations, but it may be slow and unreliable in remote areas, and cell service may be spotty. We encourage guests to unplug during the adventure to enjoy an immersive experience in nature.
