Physical Requirements
At Natural Habitat Adventures, we provide access to some of the most wondrous nature encounters the world has to offer. Many take place in destinations that are wild and remote, with varying physical demands and limited medical facilities. All trips may not be suitable for every traveler. In order to participate in this itinerary, travelers must comfortably and reliably be able to execute all physical requirements as noted below—or talk with an Adventure Specialist who can recommend a trip that’s just right for you.

Moderately-paced trip with early mornings and 3-4 off-ship activities per day. Travelers are typically up at 7am and in their cabins around 9pm.
Travelers must be able to walk 2 miles over potentially slippery and uneven terrain in hot conditions
Travelers must be able to climb stairs

Travel by bus to and from the airport
Inflatable pangas for excursions
Not appropriate for travelers using wheelchairs, walkers or canes
Travelers must have good balance and mobility to safely navigate the ship and participate in activities
Consistent year round daytime temperatures of 70-85 F with 80-90% humidity
Rain is possible year round
February-April: hottest time of year with temps in 80-90s
August-October: coolest time of year with temps in 70-80s
The trip includes 2 days in Quito, elevation 9,350 feet, at the beginning and 1 day at the end
