Iguazu Falls Extension

Iguazu Falls is one of the mightiest waterfalls on the planet. More than a mile wide, it straddles the border between Argentina and Brazil, dividing the two countries with a tremendous torrent of crashing water. The massive cataract is actually comprised of hundreds of individual cascades. Of them, Devil’s Throat is the most dramatic, with water thundering in from three sides to create an explosion of spray. The falls lie at the heart of Iguazu National Park, a vast tract of subtropical rain forest that’s home to a multitude of plant and animal species. Trails wind along the canyon rim, leading to ever-varying views of the river’s cataclysmic plunge over the cliffs.
