Chan Chich Lodge
Gallon Jug Estate, Northwest Belize

Chan Chich Lodge is Belize’s premier jungle ecolodge. Set within a 130,000-acre private nature reserve in the heart of “La Selva Maya,” the lodge is situated in the plaza of an unexcavated ancient Mayan city and surrounded by pristine rainforest laced with hiking trails. Accommodations are provided in 12 individual thatched-roof luxury cabanas. Each is beautifully finished with local hardwoods and fully screened with ceiling fans. En suite bathrooms have hot and cold water, and a private wrap-around veranda offers hammock for relaxing.  With a screened-in pool and jacuzzi, fully stocked bar and excellent cuisine, Chan Chich provides every comfort in the heart of the jungle. There's no better base from which to search for the elusive jaguar in its natural habitat!
Mystic River Resort
Cayo District, Belize
This jungle lodge set on a steep bank of the Macal River is a serene retreat surrounded by tropical birds and rustling trees. Spacious cottages have high wood ceilings, tile floors with rugs, dark wood furniture including king-size beds, a fireplace, ceiling and standing fans, and a private patio overlooking the rain forest and river. Colorful Caribbean art adorns the walls. En suite bathrooms have a walk-in shower and double vanity. Relax at the casual bar and dine in the shaded open-air restaurant featuring local Belizean dishes and farm-to-table ingredients. There's an inviting splash pool and a yoga deck to make the most of your downtime, too. Sustainability is an intrinsic part of the operations at this remote lodge, which generates its own electricity and purifies the water, making it safe to drink anywhere on the property. An ongoing reforestation program returns indigenous trees to lands that were historically logged.
Ray Caye
Ray Caye, Belize

Tucked into the tropical palms on a private island on the edge of the Gladden Spit and Silk Cayes Marine Reserve, this tranquil resort faces the protected Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. Seventeen miles off the coast of Placencia, Ray Caye provides luxury and privacy in the Caribbean, with a pristine sand beach, clear turquoise waters and a serene natural environment. Enjoy the seclusion of your own spacious oceanfront cabana with a private deck looking over the world’s second longest reef. Cool whites and light hardwood decor are interspersed with bright splashes of color on the cozy rattan deck furniture.

Cabanas have en suite bathrooms, air conditioning, ceiling fans, Wi-Fi and DVD players, and include morning coffee and tea service. A centrally located freshwater swimming pool is surrounded by a hardwood deck and loungers, offering an idyllic place to cool off, soak up some sun or sip a refreshing cocktail. Shady, open-air dining and lounge areas invite the ocean breezes beneath elegant post-and-beam woodwork. Explore the private island’s watery mysteries with free access to kayaks, pedal boats, paddle boards, hobie cats and snorkel gear. Spa treatments are available in your cabana or over the water on the pier.
