“Pride of Namibia” tells the story of communities committed to protecting wildlife, of a nation that has enshrined conservation into its constitution, and of the future of responsible travel – tourism that directly benefits the people who give wildlife freedom to roam.
Conservation
In 1994, a lone wolf crossed the border from Italy into Switzerland. Within a year, there were two, then pups and sporadic sightings. By 2012, Switzerland had its first stable wolf pack in well over 100 years.
Galapagos Islands
Visit the Galapagos Island of Española in April and you may experience firsthand one of the most interesting and elaborate courtship rituals in the entire animal kingdom. Each spring, tens of thousands of waved albatrosses—nearly the entire worldwide population—return to Española to find mates and breed.
African Safaris
Mangroves are one of Earth’s most critical ecosystems, buffering coasts from storm surges, serving as vital habitat for aquatic, semiaquatic and terrestrial species; and providing food and livelihoods for local communities.
