Physical Requirements
At Nat Hab, we provide access to some of the most wondrous nature encounters the world has to offer. Many take place in destinations that are wild and remote, with varying physical demands and limited medical facilities. All trips may not be suitable for every traveler. In order to participate in this itinerary, travelers must comfortably and reliably be able to execute all physical requirements as noted below.

Visit six locations over 14 days
Days typically begin early and end in the evening, with full schedules throughout
Two days involve over four hours of travel, including flights; most others include two to three hours of driving with activity and wildlife stops
Expect 2–4 miles of walking per day, with some opportunities for longer walks
Walks are usually 0.5–2 miles on relatively even surfaces but may include steep steps without handrails and uneven, slippery terrain
Travelers must walk up to 2 miles unassisted to fully enjoy the trip
Travelers must climb at least one set of steep stairs; local staff can assist, but stairs are not optional
Travel between Kangaroo Island, Great Ocean Road and Tasmania is by small aircraft, typically a Metro 23
Most travel is by minibus or two 15-passenger vans with narrower seats than U.S. vehicles
Travel is often on narrow, winding paved roads, with occasional well-maintained gravel or dirt roads
Travelers must be comfortable getting in and out of vehicles with large steps, small airplanes and walking on a catamaran with minimal assistance
Not appropriate for travelers using wheelchairs, walkers or canes
Daytime temps range from 40–100°F
Nighttime temps range from 30–80°F
Kangaroo Island and Great Ocean Road: mild to hot; UV rays extremely strong
Tasmania: 40–75°F, with rain common; temps may drop to 30s
Snow possible at Cradle Mountain, even in summer
Oct and late March trips are cooler; Jan–Feb are hottest
Maximum altitude reached is 6,000 feet in Tasmania
