Physical Requirements
At Nat Hab, we provide access to some of the most wondrous nature encounters the world has to offer. Many take place in destinations that are wild and remote, with varying physical demands and limited medical facilities. All trips may not be suitable for every traveler. In order to participate in this itinerary, travelers must comfortably and reliably be able to execute all physical requirements as noted below.

Transfer days involve 5–6 hours of travel
Two internal flights
Early mornings, typically 5 a.m. starts, short midday breaks and late evenings
Travelers must be able to walk 2 miles unassisted along a variety of terrain and should expect to walk for a total of 1-3 miles per day
Walks and tours range from 1-2 miles each; travelers should expect to be on foot for 1-2 hours on some days
Terrain includes gravel, pavement and dirt paths, sometimes on uneven ground; travelers should also be prepared to walk through large airports, crowded city streets, and cultural sites with stone flooring and stairs
Most walks are at a leisurely pace with guided interpretation
There are limited opportunities for additional or extended walks at our lodges for more active travelers
Expect 5–7 hours in a vehicle on transfer and safari days
Safari drives take place on rough, dusty dirt roads with little shade; travelers are frequently exposed to full sun
Safari vehicles are open jeeps with no seat belts or roof; travelers must climb in using large steps and may find seats cramped, especially for tall or large individuals
In Delhi, travel by large bus; elsewhere, small SUVs are used due to road conditions and traffic
This trip includes 2 commercial flights; travelers are responsible for managing their own carry-on luggage through busy airports and may need to climb stairs to board planes or access terminals
Not appropriate for travelers using wheelchairs, walkers or canes
Travelers must be fully mobile and physically independent
Daytime temps often exceed 110°F
Overnight temps are cooler but still warm
Extremely hot conditions; wildlife drives are scheduled early to avoid midday heat
