Physical Requirements
At Nat Hab, we provide access to some of the most wondrous nature encounters the world has to offer. Many take place in destinations that are wild and remote, with varying physical demands and limited medical facilities. All trips may not be suitable for every traveler. In order to participate in this itinerary, travelers must comfortably and reliably be able to execute all physical requirements as noted below.

Visit five locations over eight days
Early mornings are scheduled to allow maximum time for activities and transfers
Train travel can last 11–13 hours per day for two days in a row.
Travelers must walk up and down stairs, required on the bi-level train and at some accommodations
Travelers must be able to walk approximately 1 mile unassisted over uneven, slippery, and rocky ground
Bugaboos hikes, accessed by helicopter, range from 1–6 miles
Multiple hike options are offered daily based on the ability and interest of the group
Travel by train, coach bus and helicopter
Entering and exiting helicopters for heli-hiking requires kneeling or squatting on the ground for 1–2 minutes at a time
Not appropriate for travelers using wheelchairs, walkers or canes
Travelers must have good balance, mobility, and be in good physical health
Medical facilities in the area are very limited and may not be readily accessible in the event of an emergency
Daytime temps range from 50–95°F
High alpine weather is unpredictable and can shift quickly
Be prepared for cool temps, rain, wind and possible snow
Specialized gear is provided in the Bugaboos for proper layering
Average altitude of hikes in the Bugaboo Range (accessed via helicopter) is 7,250 feet, with optional high-altitude hikes reaching approximately 8,800 feet
