Trip prices are per person based on double occupancy and are given in U.S. dollars. Single cabins may be available on ships without dedicated single cabins at higher rates. All accommodations aboard ship or in hotels per itinerary; all meals as indicated in the itinerary, both aboard and onshore; beer, wine, cocktails, and spirits aboard the ship (except certain super premium brands which are available for purchase); hors d’oeuvres, 24-hour access to snacks, premium coffees and teas, non-alcoholic beverages, and filtered water; excursions and airport transfers to and from recommended flights, as indicated in the itinerary; gratuities in Guayaquil and Quito to local guides, drivers and tour escort; exploration tools curated to destination, such as Zodiacs, stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, snorkeling equipment (including wetsuits, masks, and fins); guidance and company of our leading expedition staff; presentations by expedition staff and expert guest speakers; basic Wi-Fi; complimentary reusable water bottle; services of a physician; morning stretch classes; 24-hour access to lounge, observation decks, library, and other shared spaces; park and site entrance fees, special access permits, and port taxes. Unused services or items included in our programs are non-refundable.

Airfare; pre- and post-expedition extensions; additional hotel nights (except when indicated as included); crew gratuities; private transfers; laundry, spa treatments, and phone services; travel protection plans; and passport, visa, and immigration fees.

Physical Requirements

Easy to Moderate
This Galapagos voyage features a packed itinerary, with early mornings and long days filled with varied activities including island walks, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and paddleboarding. Trails are often rough and uneven, traversing sharp lava fields and loose rocks and gravel. It is sometimes necessary to walk over slippery rocks when making a Zodiac landing to come ashore. Guests must be able to walk a a minimum of two miles to participate in this trip, as well as walk up and down stairs and be able to get in and out of the motorized pangas (rigid inflatable rafts), which can be very unsteady in rough water. A few wet landings, where we disembark from the panga directly into shallow water and walk up onto the beach, are required. Snorkeling is a big component of this trip, with excursions offered nearly every day, sometimes twice a day. While no snorkeling experience is required, prior practice is recommended, and travelers should be comfortable swimming in moderate currents, near shore and in deep water. Our Expedition Leaders will also offer guidance for those in need of additional snorkeling instruction. Travelers are not required to participate in every activity.

Mandatory Insurance

Since the areas we travel to are remote and wild (that's why we go there!), we require that all guests have, at minimum, medical evacuation insurance for this program. This is for the safety of all guests. We require that your chosen independent insurance plan includes at least $250,000 in medical evacuation coverage.

To protect your investment and to provide peace of mind while you travel, we also strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance. Plans may cover everything from medical treatment to trip cancellations and delays and lost luggage.
