Ol Kanjau

Location
Amboseli Nat’l Park, Kenya

Ol Kanjau, the ‘Camp of the Elephants’, has just 6 traditional style tents with en-suite bathrooms (special drop toilets) and is located just east of Amboseli. Mike and Judy Rainy, your hosts, are famous conservationists and researchers. They have continually studied the 52 known elephant families for 25 years and can instantly recognize each herd. With 170 births last year, you will see lots of young playing with each other and learning from their mothers. There is no better insight into the world of elephant behavior!

Activities: Day and night game drives as well as game walks and visits to the local Masai community. This is the smallest camp in Amboseli with the most varied activities.

Special Attraction: Spending time with some of the foremost elephant researchers who interact with these fabulous creatures on a daily basis. No one knows them better!
