Sabah’s Kinabatangan River delta boasts the largest concentration of wildlife in Southeast Asia. Situated directly on the bank, Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge features a bird tower, frog platform and open sun deck for magnificent wildlife viewing. A jungle trail at the back of the lodge provides opportunities to spot leaf monkeys and wild orangutans swinging among the tropical undergrowth. Simply furnished, and with glossy hardwood floors, rooms have en suite baths with hot water showers, ceiling fans, screened windows, and drinking water purified through a reverse osmosis system on site. Enjoy dining beneath umbrella tables on the expansive wooden deck overlooking the river. The lodge supports its local community through tree planting programs and fair wages for native fishermen.
