Take a large landmass like the Indian subcontinent, add a staggering array of wildlife, mix in human overpopulation, and put climate change on top of it. It’s a recipe for environmental disaster, but, thankfully, leading conservation organizations are on the case and achieving important successes. Join Expedition Leader Arpita Dutta for an insightful presentation about the detrimental forces that threaten wildlife in India and Nepal, including human-animal conflict and habitat destruction—and what’s being done to mitigate them, helping to sustain India’s rich and diverse wildlife. As Arpita discusses conservation efforts on behalf of endangered species, you’ll learn how your travels to India or Nepal with Nat Hab play a role, too, offering a chance to personally contribute to conservation efforts. Simply by visiting India’s national parks and following the rules, you’re making a huge contribution toward the survival of vulnerable species and habitats. Arpita has been working in the field for more than two decades, and she draws on her extensive relationships and experience with wildlife conservation NGOs to convey their important work.
