NHA’s Quality & Value Guarantee

We've made a commitment to our guests that our trips are of the highest quality at the best value, and we back that up with our exclusive Quality & Value Guarantee:

  1. We'll Deliver on Our Promises
    We guarantee that your trip will meet the high expectations we set, or we will gladly give you a credit toward a future trip. We’re so confident our nature adventures will meet the quality standards we promise that we stand behind them with what we believe is the best guarantee in the travel industry. Should you discover a disparity in what we have promised versus what you experience, we will compensate you. Of course, we can't control nature or natural circumstances such as weather and wildlife movements, and such circumstances outside our control are exempt from this guarantee. But when it comes to the inclusions, activities, accommodations and guiding we have arranged, we'll deliver—we guarantee it! The important part of our guarantee is that your trip must meet the expectations set on our website, not unreasonable expectations that do not match the promises we’ve made.
  2. The Best Trip at the Best Price
    We believe we offer an incomparable nature travel experience when you take into account our expertly designed itineraries that include unique experiences and exclusive access, our remote wild destinations, exceptionally small groups and highly qualified naturalist Expedition Leaders. But, should you come across a matching itinerary of our quality at a lower price, even within 30 days after booking with us, we will happily refund the difference. Here are the restrictions: You must notify us within 30 days after your initial booking with us; the other company must be a U.S.-based tour operator (not a travel agency) that is actually participating in the operation of the trip rather than merely booking another company’s product; you must email, fax or send us the company's brochure that indicates who they are and includes specific trip details, or direct us to the company's website; the trip must be of equal quality with the same or a very similar itinerary; the departure dates must be the same or very similar, not dates that fall during what we would consider a different season; the trip must be actually available from the company offering it, not a “base price” offered on a minimal number of departures. The trip cannot be a “fire sale” offer of unused inventory. Here are the parameters within the trip itself: All inclusions must be similar; accommodations must be similar; the group size must be the same or fewer; the guide's level of training must be comparable; if the itinerary is a slightly different length, we will prorate it. Should the other trip include airfare where ours does not, you must ask the other company to quote you a land-only rate. 
  3. We Won't Cancel
    While many companies often cancel trips due to low enrollment, we guarantee we won’t! This policy gives our travelers security and peace of mind in knowing their travel plans are guaranteed. If you book with us, you’re going! On rare occasions outside of our control, our suppliers, including ship and hotel operators, may cancel our accommodations. Should this occur, we will do everything we can to move you to a comparable trip but we cannot guarantee we will be able to do so. Additionally, should traveler numbers on a specific departure fall below a certain number, some activities and services, including the size of vehicles and number of guides, may be altered to be more consistent with a smaller group. We also reserve the right to cancel new "trial" trips designated as "Exploratory." 

The Habitat Club

The Habitat Club is designed to reward our loyal travelers. All travelers are automatically enrolled in the Habitat Club upon booking their first trip. We truly appreciate your patronage. Trip discounts are retroactive, meaning that discounts on our special Club departures will be offered to all travelers who have, since the founding of Natural Habitat Adventures in 1985, participated in two or more trips. The count for receiving special Habitat Club gifts begins with all trips departing after Jan. 1, 2002 (regardless of when they were booked). Restrictions: Trips booked through affinity groups and Habitat Club departures are not included in the trip count. Should a trip be placed on the Habitat Club and you’re already booked on that trip, you will receive the Habitat Club discount, so feel free to go ahead and book—you’ll be protected. NHA reserves the right to change the benefits of the Habitat Club and/or cancel the program with little or no notice. All other normal booking terms apply.


Refer a Friend...Get a $250 Trip Credit

Nat Hab is a travel company with a family spirit, and our guests frequently refer friends and family to us so that they too can enjoy The World’s Greatest Nature Journeys. As a gesture of our appreciation, we will provide you a gift card for $250 off a future trip of your own when you send us a referral who books a trip with us!

When you refer a traveler to NHA, we will send them a catalog with a letter indicating that you thought they might be interested in one of our adventures. To receive the $250 referral credit, we ask that you provide us with the referral’s name and physical mailing address, either by calling your Adventure Specialist, filling out the online or business reply card referral form, or providing the name and address on your post-trip evaluation form. That referral must then book a trip. Referrals must be first-time NHA travelers who were not already in our database prior to the referral and must book with NHA directly or through their travel agent within one year of being referred. The $250 gift card will be awarded per booking party referred, not on the number of passengers booked. For example, if you refer a friend who eventually books a trip for herself and her family of four, you will receive one single $250 gift card. Trip participants living in the same household or who are traveling on the same departure as the referring person are not counted toward rewards. Guests may use only two gift cards per trip booked ($500 discount). Gift cards are transferable. Gift cards will be sent within 30 days of travel completion.

Small Groups Are Our Specialty

Throughout our website, NHA emphasizes that our focus is on small-group wildlife experiences. The average number of travelers on our trips is about eight or nine. In some regions it’s fewer (just seven in Africa) and in some places it’s more (13 in Canada), but in all areas our groups are substantially smaller than any other company that we know of, even those who claim to offer small-group tours. Our commitment upholds our belief that the best wildlife encounters and most meaningful experiences in nature can only be achieved in small groups. If this philosophy of small-group travel matches yours, we feel confident that we are the company for you!


Accommodations Selected for Proximity to Nature

NHA takes the selection of our accommodations very seriously, as the places we stay can often add significantly to the appeal and authenticity of a nature travel experience. We generally choose the best accommodations available that are closest to wildlife and wild places. We won’t, for example, travel for miles to a fancy hotel if there is a simple and classic accommodation that will place us “where the action is.” In fact, we primarily choose accommodations specifically designed to put us in natural places in a comfortable and authentic manner, often including such features as open verandas overlooking the African bush, or special viewing platforms for watching wildlife. We have at times even funded the construction of such facilities to be certain our guests can experience wild places in comfort. On some trips, we include stays at classic lodges (like national park lodges in Yellowstone and Glacier) that are larger but well worth the relative crowds, as they are on the “must-see” list for any traveler. In “hub” cities where our trips begin and end, we try to choose accommodations that balance atmosphere, comfort and authenticity, which are complementary to the accommodations used on the rest of the trip. All of our accommodations have private toilet and shower facilities unless otherwise noted on our website. Single, triple and quad accommodations are not always available. Double accommodations have twin beds or one double, queen or king bed.


Private Custom Departures

Some NHA trips can be customized for independent travelers, allowing our guests to travel in the company of established local guides and operators who also focus on nature expeditions. Each trip is different in its inclusions—some may include a Natural Habitat Adventures Expedition Leader and some may not, depending on the travelers’ requests. We have the ability to offer independent trips in several destinations. Many of our extensions are also operated in this manner, where we contract with trusted local companies to operate our guests’ excursions. Most custom trips and custom extensions require a 25% nonrefundable deposit.

As the partner of Lindblad Expeditions, we are proud to offer our guests the opportunity to book a wide slate of small-ship Adventure Cruises to some of the most captivating nature destinations on the planet. You are welcome to book directly with us, and our Adventure Specialists are well equipped to help you select the itinerary and vessel that are just right for your interests.


NHA’s Exploratory Adventures

Our Exploratory Adventures offer an opportunity for a select small group of travelers to take an exhilarating inaugural journey to a new destination. These trips tend to be very exciting (and often include surprises that even we are unaware of), so we ask travelers to “go with the flow” and expect the unexpected. These trips are for those true explorers who enjoy a free-spirited adventure, as our itineraries will most likely change as we are traveling. The flexibility in our itineraries allows us to give our travelers the best opportunity to discover each region. Since these are Exploratory Adventures, they may be canceled by NHA if we deem it necessary. Exploratory Adventures may only depart with a minimum of five travelers.

Important Information About Our Trips

Please consult the “Important Information About This Trip” section for each individual trip on our website. These notes describe some of the special circumstances and conditions guests should be aware of in each destination before signing on to our adventures.

Booking Your Adventure

  1. You’ll notice that Nat Hab’s groups are purposefully the smallest in the industry, an element of our journeys that is vital to providing the finest nature expeditions on the planet. With this in mind, we thank you for understanding if a specific departure is limited in terms of available space. To book your trip...

    Book Online

    Most of our trips can be booked online. This is always a good option, as our small-group trips tend to fill up fast. Find the trip you’d like to join, and click on the orange “Book Now” button.
  2. Reserve Your Spot
    Most of our trips require a $500 deposit to reserve your space. The exact deposit amount for each trip, along with the cancellation policy for that trip, is listed on the individual trip pages on our website. Your deposit can be made by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express or eCheck. Some deposits are nonrefundable. All fees are in U.S. dollars.

    When you book one of our adventures, you agree to sign our Terms & Conditions, Release, Assumption of Risk and Binding Arbitration Form, which states that you and your party have read and understood the important information in our Terms & Conditions, including a release of liability. We require that these forms, including your completed Booking Form, are submitted within 14 days of making your initial booking and deposit. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your booking with no refund beyond that which is listed in our cancellation policy. Additionally, if the forms indicate, in our sole discretion, that you, or your party, may not be able to perform the physical requirements for your selected trip, Nat Hab reserves the right to request additional medical information and a physical examination, and/or cancel your booking with no refund made beyond those listed in our cancellation policy. In order to provide a fulfilling trip experience for all travelers, we must ensure that you are able to perform the required physical activities on your chosen trip.
  3. Receive Confirmation
    Upon making your booking, you will receive confirmation and initial documents, including air travel information, visa and vaccination requirements (if any), a reading list and more.

    NHA must receive, in its Boulder, Colorado office, travelers’ Booking and Acceptance of Terms & Conditions Forms within 14 days of making their initial booking or deposit. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the booking by NHA with no refund beyond what is listed in our cancellation policy. If a traveler’s Booking and Acceptance of Terms & Conditions Forms are received later than 14 days after initial booking/deposit, and the forms indicate, in our estimation, that a traveler, or travelers, may not be able to perform the physical requirements for their selected trip, NHA reserves the right to cancel the booking with no refund made beyond those listed in our cancellation policy. It is very important for us to ensure the quality of our trips for all participants, as travelers who cannot perform the required physical activities, however limited those activities may be, may adversely affect the experience for the entire group. The earlier we know of physical limitations, the better chance we have of a) handling the situation, and b) getting some refund for the guest, though neither of those is guaranteed.
  4. Trip Forms
    To enhance our service for our guests and to reduce paper waste, NHA provides pre-trip forms online. Links to these forms will be sent by e-mail. These forms must be submitted online within 14 days of booking.
  5. Final Balance
    Final payment for most trips is due 120 days prior to departure. Please consult the specific trip page on our website for details. For our guests’ convenience, the final balance will be charged to their credit card on the due date, unless the guest indicates in writing prior to the final balance-due date a preference to pay by alternate means. If payment is not received by the final balance-due date, the guest(s’) reservation is subject to cancellation. Nat Hab will also charge the travel insurance premium at that time unless we receive a written declination of the provided policy from the guest.

    Custom Trips: If a booking involves a custom trip or custom extension, either for an individual or group, the full payment, cancellation and refund policies provided to the guest in connection with the booking supersede the policies listed above. Most custom trips and custom extensions require a 25% nonrefundable deposit. Please ask an Adventure Specialist for more details.

    Adventure Cruises: For adventure cruises booked through Nat Hab, guest contracts with the ship operator or cruise line directly and must adhere to the ship operator’s or cruise line’s terms and conditions and payment policies. Please ask an Adventure Specialist for more details.

    Receive your Pre-Departure Briefing & Preparation Materials
    Preparing NHA travelers for their adventures is a priority for us. Approximately two to three months prior to departure, you will receive a comprehensive Pre-Departure Briefing with details about your trip, destination, the history and wildlife of the region, what to pack, and how best to prepare. We can also send your Pre-Departure Briefing electronically for your e-reader if you indicate this preference.


Cancellation Policy

Nat Hab understands how disappointing it can be in the event you are forced to cancel your trip, especially after a long period of anticipation. But we, too, plan for these trips for a long time prior to departure and continuously send nonrefundable payments to hotels and other suppliers. Therefore, we must strictly adhere to our trip cancellation and refund policies for all guests. We strongly suggest purchasing travel insurance in the event a guest must cancel.

The following are Nat Hab’s cancellation policies:
  • All cancellations must be made in writing and delivered to NHA at the following address: P.O. Box 3065, Boulder, Colorado, 80307. You may also e-mail your cancellation to info@nathab.com.
  • Travel Protection services purchased through NHA are completely nonrefundable once purchased.
  • All cancellations processed 121 or more calendar days prior to departure will incur a $100 cancellation fee of per person. Some trips have nonrefundable deposits. Please consult the specific trip page on Nat Hab’s website for details.
  • Cancellations made 61 to 120 calendar days prior to departure are assessed a cancellation fee of 50% of the entire trip price, including extensions.
  • Cancellations made 60 calendar days or less prior to departure are assessed a cancellation fee of 100% of the trip price, including extensions.
  • Guests traveling on Adventure Cruises must adhere to the payment requirements, cancellation policies, and terms and conditions set by the ship owner/operator.
  • Private or Custom Trips have special cancellation policies as set forth within each individual trip proposal. Deposits for private trips are double the listed individual trip deposit amount. All private departure deposits are nonrefundable.


Travel Insurance

To protect your trip investment, Nat Hab strongly suggests purchasing travel insurance. The plan we have arranged with Arch Insurance Company is designed specifically for our guests and is one of the most comprehensive plans available. We even include a “Cancel for Any Reason” waiver. Please review our insurance resources page for further details. We will include the cost of full-coverage travel insurance in your confirmation letter, along with information about specific coverage. We will charge the insurance premium with your final balance unless we receive a written declination of insurance. All insurance is nonrefundable. Pre-existing medical conditions can be covered if payment for your insurance is made within 14 days of Nat Hab processing your initial reservation. Medical evacuation insurance purchased through Nat Hab, either as a part of our full-coverage travel insurance or on its own, is required for some of our trips. Please consult the “Important Information About This Trip” section of each individual trip page on our website.

Documents & Vaccinations

NHA will provide details on visa and vaccination requirements in your confirmation packet. For up-to-date passport and visa requirements, please visit travel.state.gov and check individual country websites and/or embassies. For up-to-date vaccine information, please visit cdc.gov/travel.


Getting to the Starting Point of Your NHA Trip

NHA’s travelers are responsible for getting to the starting point of NHA’s trips. NHA is not liable if you miss any portion of your trip as a result of your late arrival, for whatever reason, at the starting point of the trip. Our Air Travel Desk is happy to assist guests with their air tickets.

As an exclusive service for our guests, Nat Hab offers a full-service Air Travel Desk that is available to assist with your flight arrangements to/from the start and end points of our trips, plus any required additional nights’ accommodations. Luggage Restrictions

Some of NHA’s trips have enforced luggage weight restrictions for our guests’ comfort and safety. Many of our vehicles have limited space, and when traveling in light aircraft, overweight conditions create a serious safety hazard. Baggage exceeding specified limits is subject to being left behind or forwarding to the ending point at your expense. All restrictions on carry-on baggage include camera equipment. Please pack lightly and follow the guidelines in your Pre-Departure Briefing.


Small Aircraft on NHA Trips

On many NHA trips, we use small aircraft to access our planet’s most remote and pristine wild areas. Please consult the individual web page for each trip to find more information on aircraft specifics.


Single Travelers

NHA encourages single travelers to join our trips! If you are traveling on your own, you can request either a single room or a roommate match. Single room accommodations require a single room surcharge. See individual trip pages on our website for pricing details. In order
to keep our single room surcharges as low as possible, on occasion single rooms may be smaller than regular double-occupancy rooms. Single-room accommodations are not available on all trips. Additionally, we cannot always guarantee single accommodations, even after reservations and confirmations have been made.

If you request a roommate match, we will do our best to find a suitable same-sex roommate. If we cannot arrange a match, and you are therefore placed in a single room, Nat Hab will charge you only 50% of the single room surcharge. The exceptions to this are on trips where roommate matches are guaranteed, so there is no single room surcharge, and on all custom trips where there is no opportunity to arrange a roommate, and therefore 100% of the single room surcharge will always apply.
 
Please note the following policy for travelers arriving prior to Day 1 of the trip: If a traveler is matched with a roommate on the trip and if their future roommate is also arriving early, they will be paired together in a double occupancy room, at the double occupancy rate, for any pre-trip hotel nights or scheduled Extra Day Programs.

Family Travel & Age Limits

Nat Hab welcomes children on certain trips, and for some destinations, we offer scheduled family departures. On most family departures, children 6 years of age and older are welcome. Due to safety regulations, physical limitations and concerns regarding group dynamics, we do not allow children younger than 6 on our scheduled departures. Additionally, some trips, or specific activities within a trip, have a higher minimum age requirement. We strongly encourage you to call our office to speak with an Adventure Specialist about the specific requirements of the trip you’re considering so you can make an informed decision about your child’s participation. On all trips, if your child is under the age of 18, you must sign a minor permission waiver ensuring that your child does not place him/herself, other guests, staff or wildlife in harm’s way, or jeopardize the enjoyment of the trip for the group as a whole. We also accept minors with the clear understanding that parents or guardians believe their child/children is/are unusually mature and are able to conduct themselves according to the same expectations held for adults.

Included in Your NHA Trip

Unless otherwise noted in the “Included” section of each individual trip, our trips include accommodations, meals from dinner on Day 1 through breakfast on the final day, services of NHA’s professional Expedition Leader(s), transportation within the trip, airport transfers on Day 1 and final day, gratuities for airport transfers provided by NHA, baggage porterage, permits and parks fees while on the trip.


Gratuities

NHA has made a concerted effort to pre-arrange tipping for local services so you do not have to carry excessive cash and experience the inconvenience of ‘reaching into your pocket’ at every turn. Regarding NHA’s Expedition Leaders, field staff and drivers, they are all paid salaries for their work. They will go out of their way to make your trip special and do not perform their jobs just for money. However, staff do accept gratuities should you determine that they have performed their jobs at an outstanding level. Gratuities should reflect your satisfaction with their level of service. Suggested gratuity guidelines will be provided in the Pre-Departure Briefing for each trip.


Safety & Trip Enjoyment

NHA plans trips in natural areas where the environment can sometimes create unpredictable conditions. To avoid possibly dangerous situations, both for our travelers and wildlife, it is extremely important that all travelers obey the rules and regulations set forth by the Expedition Leaders and/or local guides and demonstrate reasonable consideration for all staff and travelers. We reserve the right to prohibit any traveler from continuing on a trip if, in our opinion, that traveler’s actions pose a threat to the safety of her/himself, others or wildlife, or if that traveler’s actions or behaviors are seriously jeopardizing the enjoyment of the trip for others. Should a guest be asked to leave a trip, there will be no return of unused funds, nor will NHA be responsible for additional expenses incurred by the guest for accommodations, return transport, etc. Participation in the program will require that travelers sign releases and covenants not to sue NHA, or its participating agents or representatives. On advancement of a deposit, the traveler agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth herein.

Physical Requirements

Our trips are intended for individuals in reasonably good physical and mental health, with reasonably good mobility. The Physical Requirements section on each trip page on our website provides important information regarding the physical expectations for that trip. Please read this information carefully. Certain trips may require that you obtain medical approval before departure as a condition of your participation. Nat Hab reserves the right, in our sole discretion, to prohibit you from joining or continuing on a trip if, in our opinion, your physical, emotional or behavioral limitations or actions pose or could pose a threat to your safety or enjoyment, or that of other guests or staff, or the safety of wildlife. In the event of expulsion, there will be no refund of any portion of the trip price, used or unused, nor will Nat Hab be responsible for additional expenses that you incur.


Cell Phones & Other Electronics

Our distinctly unique adventures are specifically designed to provide our guests with immersive nature experiences. With this goal in mind, during trips we try our very best to minimize the use of electronics. Guests who require access to a cellular or satellite phone may bring one on their NHA trip. However, we respectfully ask that guests refrain from using their phones, tablets or computers during any group activities. This is especially applicable in secluded or enclosed areas, including mealtime when we are often recapping our day, preparing for the next day, or just sharing stories of our nature encounters. We appreciate your understanding.

Smoking on NHA’s Trips

Travelers may not smoke in areas where others are affected (in our vehicles or within enclosed areas or while others are around). This rule also applies to electronic cigarettes and vaporizers. Most of the rooms we secure do not allow smoking, and smokers should be aware that even if we try to secure them a “smoking room,” we cannot guarantee that one will be provided. Please sign on to our trips knowing that there may be times when you will not be able to smoke.


Drones

Drones are not permitted on any NHA adventures.

Since 2003, World Wildlife Fund, Inc. (“WWF”), the world’s leading environmental conservation organization, has partnered with Natural Habitat Adventures to provide conservation travel experiences in the planet’s most captivating wild places. WWF selected NHA as its travel partner because of NHA’s long-standing commitment to conservation and the high quality of our adventures. Natural Habitat Adventures
has provided over $4 million to WWF’s global conservation efforts over the past decade and will continue to give 1% of gross sales plus $100,000 annually through 2023 in support of WWF’s mission to conserve nature and reduce the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth. Adventures nor any of the companies or individuals that supply goods or services for the travel described on NHA’s website, including, without limitations, hotels, restaurants, and transportation whether by air, boat, bus, train, automobile or other vehicle. As a result, WWF is not liable for any negligent or willful act or failure to act of any such company or individual not within its control. Currency, Fuel & Other Fluctuations

Significant fluctuations in exchange rates, energy prices and other cost factors may necessitate an increase in trip prices before or after you book. A price increase would be implemented only if absolutely necessary and would serve only to maintain the highest quality adventure.

Wildlife Viewing & Itinerary Changes

Because NHA’s programs specialize in viewing wildlife, every effort is made to plan programs where wildlife is known to exist. However, the animals we visit live wild and free, and we cannot fully predict nor control their migratory patterns (nor would we want to). In an attempt to locate wildlife that may have deviated from its normal pattern, or in the interest of traveler comfort or safety, we may be required to make changes in itineraries. If we feel it is necessary to change hotels, boats or other facilities, we will make reasonable efforts to substitute comparable accommodations wherever possible. If such changes or fluctuations in exchange rates occur, additional costs may require the program fee to change with little or no notice. Additionally, an increase in the cost of fuel may require that NHA enforce a fuel surcharge upon travelers booked on an existing trip, particularly on small-ship voyages. Should NHA be required to cancel a trip due to unforeseen circumstances, travelers will be granted trip credit in the amount of their trip cost already paid, but NHA will not be liable for accompanying expenses (such as gear purchases, airline tickets, etc.). It is very important for our guests to have realistic expectations for their wildlife encounters, so we try to portray accurate accounts of our wildlife-viewing activities in our itineraries. Of course, weather conditions may preclude us from participating in any or all activities as listed. The images shown in our printed materials and on our website represent what our guests have regularly seen on “normal” trips in the past (or in the case of a new trip, what our staff and researchers have seen). Due to the weather and/or wildlife conditions, some trips may have fewer close encounters with wildlife than we normally anticipate, and we ask guests to sign onto our adventures knowing this. Also, be aware that some images in our materials are taken with a telephoto lens, and guests should not assume that they will get this close to the wildlife. For example, we may show a close-up shot of a wolf, but nearly all of our encounters with wolves are at a distance.


Release & Limitation of Liability

NHA seeks to select reliable suppliers and contractors to provide air and other transportation, hotels, guides, and other travel-related services. We do not assume responsibility, directly or indirectly, for any loss, damage, or injury to property or person in connection with such services. Each participant agrees not to hold NHA, its owners, employees, agents and representatives liable, in the absence of their own gross negligence, for any loss or injury, expense or damage that results directly or indirectly from any act or omission to any person or firm that is to, or does provide, goods or services in connection with the trip, or any available optional excursion.

With limited exceptions, NHA and its officers, directors, employees, shareholders and affiliates (collectively, NHA) do not own, operate, or control any entity that provides, or is to provide any goods or services for your trip or expedition, including, without limitation, own or control any lodging facilities, airline, bus, vessel or other transportation companies, food service providers, local ground operators, outfitters or guides, safari operators, equipment suppliers, organizers of optional excursions, entertainment providers, etc., including, without limitation, various entities that may utilize the NHA name or logos. NHA is not responsible for any negligent or willful act, or failure to act, of any such person or entity, or of any other third party not under NHA’s control. Without limitation, NHA is not liable for any direct, indirect, consequential or incidental damage; injury, loss, or damage to person or property, illness, death, delay, inconvenience or irregularity of any kind in connection with the trip or expedition that may be occasioned by or resulting from any act or omission beyond its control, including, but not limited to, any willful or negligent act, failure to act or breach of contract of any third party, acts of God, force majeure, acts of war or civil unrest, acts of government, insurrection or revolt, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind or the threat thereof, climate conditions, high altitude, overbooking or downgrading of accommodations or structural or other defective conditions in hotels or other lodging facilities, the operation of and/or mechanical or other failure of any means of transportation or for any failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart in a timely or safe manner, dangers associated with or bites from animals, pests or insects, marine life or vegetation of any sort, dangers incident to any recreational activities, epidemics or the threat thereof, sanitation problems, including, without limitation, risks associated with food or impure water, lack of access to or quality of medical care, difficulty in evacuation in case of a medical or other emergency, stolen, lost, or misplaced luggage or property, theft or break-ins into vehicles, lodging rooms or elsewhere, or for any other action or omissions of third parties, or conditions beyond the control of NHA.

Participant grants NHA express permission to take photographic and video images of participants on its trips for promotional and commercial use, and to use participant’s images or likeness in its promotional materials without compensation to participant. NHA reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a trip participant, for any reason.
