Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Hazleena moved to the United States on her own to attend college, beginning a journey that took her from Michigan to Chicago and eventually to Colorado. She earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in business information systems from DePaul University. Her career has evolved from engineering and technology to digital strategy, operations and organizational leadership.

At Nat Hab, Hazleena has helped shape the systems, teams and operational infrastructure that support the company’s growth. Her work now spans the website, customer technology, digital strategy, data initiatives and emerging tools such as artificial intelligence. Having benefited from mentors who opened doors for her, she is equally committed to creating opportunities and pathways for others.

Travel has long been one of Hazleena’s favorite ways to learn. Memorable experiences include watching polar bears in Churchill with her son, sailing to Antarctica aboard a small expedition vessel and visiting the Galapagos Islands, which deepened her appreciation for conservation and hands-on exploration.

Hazleena lives in Louisville, Colorado, where she enjoys hiking steep trails, trail running and exploring the mountains. Outside of work, she experiments with new technology, supports community and equity initiatives and co-leads a Denver women’s community focused on connection and empowerment.
