Catalina Campos Field Operations Specialist - Mexico
I was born and grew up in Loreto, Baja California Sur, where being surrounded by the desert, the sea and incredible wildlife shaped my deep connection to the outdoors. My mother has worked with Natural Habitat Adventures for many years, so I grew up hearing stories about the travelers and experiences in the region, which made the work feel familiar to me from a young age. From early on, spending time in nature—walking desert trails, observing birds and learning about local ecosystems—sparked my curiosity and appreciation for the natural world.
Today I’m part of the Field Team with Natural Habitat Adventures in Loreto, where I support logistics and operations and help coordinate guest experiences in the region. I also developed and lead a composting initiative in Loreto, where we compost the food waste generated by guests during the gray whale season.
Outside of Nat Hab, I am a graphic designer with more than 15 years of freelance experience, with much of my work focused on environmental education and sustainability. I have also completed certificates in permaculture and sustainability.
I also created Maoli, a project where I share plant-based recipes and offer cooking workshops that promote a lifestyle rooted in compassion for animals, people and the planet.
I’m passionate about sustainability, composting and low-impact living. In my free time, I enjoy birdwatching, hiking, gardening and growing some of my own food.
