Adam KellnerChief Adventure Officer
Raised in Columbia, Maryland, Adam spent much of his childhood outdoors, seeking every opportunity to explore local forests, trails and mountains. One of his first jobs was leading summer camping expeditions for children, guiding hiking, bicycling and canoeing trips. That experience sparked a lifelong commitment to helping others connect with nature and discover the world through travel.
He pursued that passion at the University of Vermont, a place he first came to know during bicycle tours through the state. Adam earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics while dedicating much of his time to the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC). Through the program, he developed a foundation in leadership, decision-making and outdoor skills including cold-weather survival, orienteering, parachuting and helicopter operations.
After graduation, Adam was commissioned as an engineer officer in the U.S. Army. Additional military training and an assignment in Bamberg, Germany broadened his perspective and deepened his appreciation for cultural exchange, international travel and the connections formed through shared experiences.
Following his military service, Adam spent more than a decade leading operations for a global au pair agency and a student travel organization. He has developed and managed programs in more than 30 countries, working with teams across multiple continents to deliver complex international experiences.
Adam lives in Lucerne, Switzerland, with his wife, two daughters and Labrador retriever. When he's not traveling, he can often be found hiking, cycling, trail running or snowshoeing in the Swiss Alps.
