Marcus Oliveira
Marcus has led hundreds of expeditions in Brazil, traversing the Cerrado, the Pantanal, the Amazon and the Atlantic Forest. He has earned a PhD in Zoology, contributed to the discovery and description of new species, and authored books on mammals.
With extensive experience as a naturalist, professor and scientist, Marcus is now committed to empowering others to encounter wildlife as he has. Recognizing the critical need for global change, Marcus believes that to modify our modern way of living, people need to connect with nature and experience local culture. Recognizing that Nat Hab offers the ideal avenue for transformative nature experiences, Marcus became an Expedition Leader in 2024.
In his leisure time, Marcus's passion for wildlife persists. He has traveled to the Andean Mountains in Chile, Patagonia in Argentina and most recently, Alaska. Besides his love for sports, Marcus enjoys experiencing diverse cultures alongside his beloved wife.
