Amanda was born in New Jersey, but she’s an East Coast girl with a West Coast heart. Before she moved to Colorado three years ago, she left Jersey to attend the University of Maryland, where she earned degrees in communications and Spanish. While in college, Amanda ran the ski and snowboard club, embarking on winter escapades all over the U.S. and Canada. In addition to traveling by snowboard and dog sled, Amanda traveled by plane to Australia, New Zealand
and Fiji during the summer before her senior year of college. After graduation, she backpacked through Europe and Northern Africa,
immersing herself in life-changing cultural experiences. She has also traveled to Indonesia and Israel. Now, she's helping Nat Hab guests satisfy their wanderlust as an Adventure Associate. Since joining the Nat Hab family, Amanda has realized her lifelong dream of seeing her favorite animal (and spirit animal) up close in the wild…the polar bears in Churchill!
Amanda's passion for travel, outdoors and sustainability have certainly been enhanced living in Colorado. During the summer, she spends her time hiking, camping, and working on an organic farm...but her “snow bunny self” thrives in the winter, flying down a mountain on a snowboard.
