Physical Requirements
At Nat Hab, we provide access to some of the most wondrous nature encounters the world has to offer. Many take place in destinations that are wild and remote, with varying physical demands and limited medical facilities. All trips may not be suitable for every traveler. In order to participate in this itinerary, travelers must comfortably and reliably be able to execute all physical requirements as noted below.

Trip Pace
Visit two locations in six or seven days, depending on the itinerary
The itinerary includes extended periods of stationary bear viewing at camp
Travelers must be able to walk at least 1.5 miles on dirt trails and gravel or sand beaches
Optional daily beach walks are available at camp
Travelers must be accompanied by a staff member to leave Bear Camp's electric fence boundary
Travel by 15-passenger vans, boats, bush planes and the camp "Bear Mobile"
In rare cases, a boat may replace a bush plane to or from camp due to weather
Travelers must have balance and upper body strength to climb in and out of bush planes
Not appropriate for travelers using wheelchairs or walkers
Travelers using canes must be physically independent or travel with a companion who can assist them
Daytime temps range from 40–70°F
Weather can shift quickly between sun and rain
